Antonella Sciarrone Alibrandi is Vice-rector at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan and Full professor of Banking Law and Financial Markets Law at the School of Banking, Finance and Insurance Sciences. She is President of the Italian Society of Professors of Law and Economics (Associazione Docenti di Diritto dell’Economia – ADDE) (2015-present). She is member of the Academic Board of the European Banking Institute (EBI) and of the Italian Board of the European Society for Banking and Financial Law AEDBF) (2015-present). She is member of the Board of Directors of the Supervisory and Financial Information Authority (Autorità di Supervisione e Informazione Finanziaria – ASIF) of the Holy See and the Vatican City State Vatican (2020-present). She is member of the Advisory Board of Cortile dei Gentili – Pontifical Council for Culture (2019-present). She is Principal Investigator of Research Project of National Relevance promoted by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (PRIN 2017) on FinTech. She is Programme Director of the International Summer School in Banking and Capital Markets Law, promoted by Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, KU Leuven University, Radboud University Nijmegen, Goethe University Frankfurt, University of Genoa, University of Hong Kong, University of Luxembourg, University of Zürich, National Kapodistrian University of Athens and EBI. She was member of the European Commission Expert Group on Regulatory Obstacles to Financial Innovation (ROFIEG) (2018-2019). Her fields of expertise are banking and financial regulation, FinTech and customer protection.
