Aditya Malkani is South & East Asia Representative at the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), and is responsible for informing the ACU’s strategy in Asian Commonwealth countries as well as for engagement with the ACU’s Asian membership across India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darrusalam, Hong Kong and The Maldives. His responsibilities include supporting universities within the region(s) collaborate strategically, as well as supporting inter-regional partnerships within the ACU network. Established in 1913, the ACU is the world’s first and oldest international university network, with more than 500 member institutions in over 50 countries, including more than 200 member institutions in Asia.
Prior to joining the ACU, Aditya was India Country Head for King’s College London, where he focussed on developing the university’s partnerships in India, with industry, academia, and philanthropic organisations. Aditya actively supported the development of the King’s College London India Summer Schools, which provided opportunities to students from across India to access the expertise of King’s faculty, in a range of disciplines, via face to face modules delivered at Indian partner institutions.
Aditya has been an education sector professional for over a decade, has previous experience in running a start-up and regularly speaks on issues relating to higher education and international collaboration on national and international platforms.
