Namrata Tognatta is Education Specialist with the South Asia Region. Namrata joined the Education Global Practice in 2016 and currently works on operations in India and Bangladesh covering school education, higher education and skills. She recently co-authored South Asia’s companion to WDR 2018 – Ready to Learn, Ready to Thrive. Prior to joining SAR, Namrata worked on the STEP skills measurement program authoring papers on the effect of cognitive and noncognitive skills on labor market outcomes. Before joining the Bank, Namrata taught at the School of Social Policy at the University of Pennsylvania and worked at Educational Testing Service in Princeton. She holds a PhD in Education Policy from the University of Pennsylvania and Masters degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
